A passion for creativity and learning

If I do not know it, I can learn it.

Creativity and Design

Working in technical and education based jobs I taught myself how to create the imagery I needed through Canva. For the LISD website, I would develop campus specific imagery and items requested by my campus administration.

Technical Skills

What I do not know, I can learn. Through Texas Tech University as a student and employee, I have been utilizing Udemy to re-learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Working on the LISD website showed me the value in basic coding skills.

Teaching

Education does not stop when you finish a degree. Teaching happens throughout our careers through professional development programs and/or events.

Project Management

Through Coursera’s Project Management program I am learning how my project management skills translate outside of the classroom. Getting students through state standards to pass a class is a form of project management.

Lifelong Learning

We are always learning in our technical world. Learning in and of itself is a skill, and anything I do not know, I can learn.

“Media literacy is vital for students to be citizens capable of discerning reality in an image soaked world.”
